The Virginia Health Sciences Advising Center supports students pursuing admission to majors in the Ellmer College of Health Sciences, Ellmer School of Nursing, and Joint School of Public Health.

Select Your Student Type to Connect with Your Advisor

Schedule an appointment with your advisor via the using the instructions below:

  1. Login to your 色聚 portal: .
  2. Click on the Monarch Advising Portal application or search for "Monarch Advising Portal.'
  3. Once opened click on 'Schedule Appointment,' next to 'My Appointments.'
  4. Select your assigned advisor and click 'Next' - if you do not see an assigned advisor, email HSAdvising@odu.edu so this can be updated.
  5. Select 'Academic Advising - 30min鈥 then select 鈥淣ext.'
  6. Select either 'Virtual' or 'In Person' then select 'Next.'
  7. Use the calendar function next to the date OR select 'Check Next Available Dates.'
  8. Ensure the date you want to schedule is shown above, then select a time and click 'Next.'
  9. Review the details, add a short note of what you would like to discuss, then select 'Confirm.'
  10. Your appointment is now scheduled!

Check your 色聚 student email account for an appointment confirmation. You may schedule an appointment to meet in person or virtually. If you need assistance with scheduling, please email vhsadvising@odu.edu or call 757-683-5137.

Location

Our office is located on the 3rd floor of the NEW Health Sciences Building located at 1019 W. 41st Street, next to Chick-Fil-A on Monarch Way.

Please arrive promptly; students who arrive more than 10 minutes late to an advising appointment will be asked to reschedule.
